Butterfly Thank You | Aussies Who Love Stampin' Up! Challenge #053

Hi and thanks for visiting. I hope everyone is well and keeping themselves safe during this scary time.

Our latest fortnightly challenge #AWLSU053 over on the Aussies Who Love Stampin' Up! Facebook Group is a Thank You theme challenge.

Myself and the other group admins will share our creations to start off each challenge and hopefully help kick-start and inspire your creativity.

The colour palette for my card today was inspired by the Fab Friday #186 Colour Challenge.

It took quite some time for me to finally come up with the idea for my card, I sat in my craft room for what felt like hours trying to summon my creative mojo. With all that is going on in the world right now it seems like my mojo must have gone into its own self-isolation. Hopefully once school holidays start in about a week and I am not required to go in to work each day (I'm classed as an essential worker), I'm hoping my mojo will decide to come back as I'm really missing my crafting.

Anyway..... here is what I came up with:

Another relatively quick and easy card to put together (which seems to be my crafting common at the moment).

Using the splatter image from the Painted Poppies stamp set (2020 Mini Catalogue) and my inks: Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie & Calypso Coral (I don't have Terracotta Tile ink and Calypso Coral seemed pretty close), I stamped the splatter image onto my Whisper White card base in an ombre pattern.

The butterfly die cut is a partial cut of the large group of butterflies die from the Butterfly Beauty Dies and is cut out in Basic Black cardstock. I trimmed the adjoining butterflies from this large butterfly using my scissors and a steady hand. This was adhered to my card base using a few tiny drops of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

My Thank You sentiment comes from the stamp set included in the all-inclusive Notes of Kindness card kit. I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Another super quick and easy card, that would work with just about any colour combination. Might have to try a few of my favourite colour combinations out.

Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)
