The Stampin' Up! Buy 3 Get 1 Free Designer Series Paper Sale is on during September. The sale ends on 30th September and you can purchase any 3 selected packs of DSP and get a 4th one free.
You might find that you look as a pack of DSP differently and realise that perhaps you "do" need to get that design (I know there are a few that I was still on the fence about or had glanced over, but after seeing these projects I've changed my mind).
If you find you still aren't sold on the patterns/designs in a particular pack, then I hope at least you get inspired by the design or layout and try changing up the project using other papers you have or like.
Lets get started by checking out projects using the Bird Ballad DSP and the Garden Lane DSP.
Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper
This card uses a standard A2 imperial card base which has a card front size of 4.25" x 5.5". This design will also work with an standard A6 metric card base.
To create this card cut a panel of cardstock smaller than your card front (in any colour or plain paper if you prefer as it will be hidden). Cut 1" wide strips of DSP and then adhere them to your panel in spectrum order using your preferred adhesive (Snail or Multipurpose Liquid Glue). Then cut out this panel using the 2nd largest stitched rectangle die. Wrap the die cut panel with Linen Thread 3 times and tie a bow. Fussy cut some of the feathers from the feather patterned DSP sheet. Adhere the feathers slightly overlapping the matching colours on the die cut panel (as shown above). Punch 3 sprigs from vellum cardstock using the Sprig Punch, cut them in half and tuck these under the feathers.
Using the Free As A Bird stamp set, stamp your sentiment using your favourite black ink (Stazon or Memento) on to a strip of Pool Party cardstock. Punch a shape in Whisper White using the Pretty Label Punch and adhere your sentiment strip on top using Snail. Then adhere it using Dimensionals (or Mini Dimensionals if you prefer) on top of the feathers. Lastly add a few sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment in colours matching the DSP used.

Garden Lane Designer Series Paper
This card uses a non standard sized card base. The base is determined by the size of the DSP panel.
To create this card start off my cutting the DSP (using the above designs) into squares and tiling them on to a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock. Using this layer, determine your Pear Pizzazz cardbase size depending on how much of an edge you would like. Adhere your DSP layer onto your base.
Using the Verdant Garden stamp set, stamp your sentiment in Garden Green ink on a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock. Stamp the floral image from the same stamp set in Soft Sea Foam ink around your sentiment. Cut this out using the Story Label Punch. Cut a banner shaped piece of vellum and adhere it to your cardbase. Next adhere a piece of the Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon onto the vellum banner and top with your sentiment using Stampin' Dimensionals (or Mini Dimensionals if you prefer).
