Today I'm showing some oldies some love by participating in the latest Retro Rubber Challenge #108 Rainbow Color Challenge.
The point of the Retro Rubber Challenge is to show some love to our older stamps that tend to get left behind or forgotten about when new ones arrive. To participate in their challenges you need to use a stamp that is at least 1 year old.
Well for today's card I have used 3 different Stampin' Up! stamp sets (all sadly retired) and all 3 are older than 1 year.
The BMX bike image comes from the Stampin' Up! Just Riding stamp set, which was (I believe) released in Australia on 1st April 2008, as part of the Stampin' Up! 2008-2009 Annual Catalogue. This set joined my collection 2nd hand in May 2016 (and I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've used it).
The rainbow splatter images in the background of my card come from the Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (a favourite of mine while it was current, and hasn't had much play time since it retired). This set was released in Australia on 2nd July 2013, as part of the Stampin' Up! 2013-2014 Annual Catalogue. This set joined my collection in August 2014.
The 3rd and final stamp set (and youngest) used on my card, for the sentiment was the Stampin' Up! Epic Celebrations stamp set. This set was a free item as part of the Stampin' Up! 2018 Sale-A-Bration promotion that commenced on 3rd January 2018, however as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I was able to get my hands on this set early in December 2017.
There is 1 product used on my card that is still current and that is the framelits used to cut out the BMX images and the coloured layers behind them. These framelits come from the Stampin' Up! Frosted Bouquet Framelits set.
The layout of my card was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest by Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Debbie Henderson.
EDIT: I'm excited to add that my card was chosen as a
