Wonderful Romance | Thinking of You

Hi and thanks for stopping by :)

Today I have a pretty and soft Thinking of You card to share, that I created using a number of creative challenges as inspiration.

The stamp set used was chosen from the latest What Will You Stamp Challenge #212, the colour palette comes from the Sunday Stamps Challenge #201 and the card layout was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #381.

Here is what I came up with from all of the above inspiration :)

For my colour palette I have used Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather, Mint Macaron, Soft Sea Foam & Whisper White.

The floral image comes from the Wonderful Romance stamp set and has been stamped in Memento black ink on whisper white cardstock, coloured using Stampin' Blends and then cut out using the coordinating framelit.

My sentiment comes from the same stamp set and is stamped in Mint Macaron.

The colours down the side of my card are cardstock strips in Soft Sea Foam & Mint Macaron.

This was a pretty quick and easy card to put together, hope you like it.

Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)

All The Good Things | Aussies Who Love Stampin' Up! Challenge #026

Hi and thanks for visiting :)

Last Monday was the start of our latest fortnightly challenge over on the Aussies Who Love Stampin' Up! Facebook Group.

Our latest challenge #AWLSU026 is an Autumn theme challenge.

Myself and the other group admins will share our creations to hopefully help kick-start and inspire your creativity.

If you live in Australia and are interested in participating in our fortnightly challenges, click here to join the group :)

The layout for my card was inspired by the current Fab Friday #159 sketch challenge.

*********************************************

The inspiration I took from our #AWLSU026 Autumn theme was the colours and so for my colour palette, I used yellow, orange and brown/red tones.

My card base is Cajun Craze and I have layered a piece of the Cajun Craze striped designer series paper from the Nature's Poem pack.

The Koi fish image comes from the All The Good Things stamp set and I used sponge daubers to lightly & randomly apply my colours. I have used Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie & Cajun Craze.
(Tip: start with the lightest colour first and work your way to the darkest colour).
This image was cut out using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits.

I also used sponge daubers to apply ink to my sentiment stamp (using the same colours as the Koi), to give it an ombre look. Using up some cardstock scraps I had lying around I added some colour behind the sentiment. For these I used some Mango Melody & Pumpkin Pie.

To finish off the card, the Koi & sentiment pieces were glued together and then adhered to my card base using some Mini Dimensionals.

Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)

Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team Blog Hop | Theme: Favourite Colour Combination

Welcome to the Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team Blog Hop. This month we will be sharing projects using our favourite colour combination. The full line up below will guide you through all the projects.

I found it way too hard to choose just 1 favourite colour combination, as I have sooooooo many. However for today's card I was in a bit of a green mood at the time I made it, so chose some greens and neutrals that I really enjoyed using together - Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake (in the form of Linen Thread).

My layout was inspired by a card created by Patty Bennett. If you are interested, you can click here to check out Patty's original.

My card uses items from the Tropical Escape Suite: Tropical Chic stamp set, Tropical Thinlits & the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper.

There is a little cameo from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and co-ordinating Bouquet Bunch thinlits, in the form of the small "For You" tag.

Hope you like it.

Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)
