Welcome :) Today I would like to share some cute 3" x 3" Christmas Note Cards.
I wanted to create some special cards for my customers showcasing some products from the 2018 Holiday Catalogue. I knew I wanted to use the Wishing You Well Stamp Set, but that was as far as I had gotten. Then I came across the latest Caseing the Catty Sunday Challenge #201 and inspiration hit me and I knew exactly what I was going to make.
For this CTC challenge you needed to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) a card or project on either the front or back cover of the 2018 Holiday Catalogue.
Below is a better image of the back cover of the catalogue (in case you don't have a copy handy). I selected the cute little red 3x3 "tis the season" card as my inspiration.
And here is my version:
My colour palette consists of Real Red, Garden Green & Whisper White.
I started by cutting out squares of Real Red cardstock using the largest square from the Layering Squares framelits. These were run through my Big Shot using the new Corrugated Dynamic embossing folder.
The wreath from the Wishing You Well stamp set was stamped in Garden Green ink on Garden Green cardstock and then cut out using 2 circles from the Layering Circles framelits.
A little tip: I inked up the wreath stamp and then using a sponge dauber removed a little of the excess ink to give a cleaner image.
Using Real Red ink I stamped my sentiment, also from the Wishing You Well stamp set and partially cut it out using the banner framelit from the Petals & More Thinlits. The sentiment was added to my card using some Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
To finish off my wreath, I added some Red Rhinestones and a pretty little bow made using the Real Red 1/8" Solid Ribbon.
And here are the first batch of these cute little cards..... I think I'll be making more of these soon :)
