Nature themed Birthday | Aussies Who Love Stampin' Up! Challenge #016

Hi and thanks for visiting :)

Today marks the start of our latest fortnightly challenge over on the Aussies Who Love Stampin' Up! Facebook Group.

Our latest challenge #AWLSU016 is a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.
Choose any horizontal row, vertical row or diagonal and make your project using all 3 inspiration themes/ideas.

I chose the middle vertical row for my inspiration: Nature, Embossing (Heat embossing) & Ribbon.

Myself and the other group admins will share our creations to start off each challenge and hopefully help kick-start and inspire your creativity.

If you live in Australia and are interested in participating in our fortnightly challenges, click here to join the group :)

The colour palette for my creation was inspired by the latest Sunday Stamps colour challenge #189

You needed to use at least 3 colours from the image and I decided on using 4: dark yellow, red, orange, pale yellow. The Stampin' Up! colours I used that resemble those in this image are: Crushed Curry, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie & So Saffron.

I feel my creation also fits in quite well with this weeks Global Design Project #159 Fall Theme challenge.

My card layout was inspired by a card I created back in November last year, click here if you would like to see what helped inspire my latest version.

There is nothing better than CASEing yourself when you are suffering from a loss of creative mojo :)

My card front was created using the large and small single leaf images from the Rooted in Nature Stamp set, stamped in Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie & So Saffron on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

The sentiment comes from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set and is white heat embossed on a Pumpkin Pie Stitched Shape die cut circle. This was added to my card using some Stampin' Dimensionals.

I snuck in a piece of the retired Crushed Curry Mini Chevron Ribbon, as my Whisper White ribbon just wasn't giving the right look :)

The die cut leaves come from the Flourish Thinlits and were cut in So Saffron & Crushed Curry.

Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)

    1. Thank you so much Heather, and thanks to the Sunday Stamps team for the stunning colour challenge.
This background came into being after I made a small mistake with my original idea. I was so happy with how it ended up, that I think I love it more than the original idea :)
