Welcome and thank you for joining me in a special Crazy Crafters team blog hop.
We are hopping with a special guest - The very creative Mary Deatherage from the United States of America.
The theme of this blog hop was to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of Mary's cards.
Here is the card of Mary's that I chose to CASE:
Here is my version:
I loved the layout of Mary's card, and I decided to use the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper as well. However I went for a Tranquil Tide/Mint Macaron and Rich Razzleberry/Fresh Fig colour combination.
My sentiment is from the Eastern Beauty stamp set and has been inked in Rich Razzleberry and Clear Heat Embossed to give it a shiny look.
(Handy Tip: If you don't know how to heat emboss using any colour you like, it is really quite simple. Just ink up your stamp with Versamark first and then with the Versamark still on your stamp, ink it again using your favourite colour. Once you've stamped your image, just add clear emboss powder and melt it using your heat tool)
I ended up pairing the sentiment with a piece of Fresh Fig Sheer Ribbon as the colours matched well.
....However to be honest, when I grabbed the ribbon I thought it was Rich Razzleberry, but only worked out after I'd finished the card that it was actually Fresh Fig - the way I store my ribbons doesn't make the sides of the rolls easy to access/see....opps....it's a good thing the colour matched my heat embossed sentiment....
Once I'd glued together the banner, flower window and sentiment the whole piece was attached over the top of the DSP on my card base using mini dimensionals.
Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)
