Ink & Share Blog Hop | Theme: New Catalogue Sneak Peek

Hello and thanks for stopping by :)

Today I am participating in the Ink & Share Blog Hop, where every month a number of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world hop together to share our creations to help inspire you in your paper crafting journey. My name is Kirsten, and I am from Canberra, Australia. "G'Day" :)

For todays hop and we will be sharing our projects inspired by this months theme: New Catalogue Sneak Peek.

My project uses products from the new Share What You Love Suite, which can be purchased now in a range of exclusive bundles until the end of May. From 1st June you can purchase all the items individually from the new catalogue, however the bundles will no longer be available (so if you like freebies, grab your favourite bundle now).

There are 3 bundles available: the Just Getting Started Bundle (1 free item), A Little More, Please Bundle (2 free items) & the Gotta Have it All Bundle (3 free items).
For more information, please visit my promotions page by clicking here.

My colour palette uses Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake & Very Vanilla.

The flowers have been coloured using the Light & Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends.

Products used from the new Share What You Love Suite include the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, Love What You Do Stamp Set, Share What You Love Artisan Pearls (in Rich Razzleberry) and the Rich Razzleberry 1/4" (6.4 mm) Velvet Ribbon.

I have created a few of these cards to give to my customers along with a sample pack of goodies from this new suite, as part of a little Thank You bundle I'm putting together to go with their copy of the new Annual Catalogue.

This is such a gorgeous suite and you really need to see the items in the flesh to able to fully appreciate their beauty.

Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Jessica Taylor

Welcome and thank you for joining me in a special Crazy Crafters team blog hop.

We are hopping with a special guest - The very creative Jessica Taylor from the United States.

The theme of this blog hop was to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of Jessica's cards.

Here is the card of Jessica's that I chose to CASE:

To checkout Jessica's card in more detail click here.

Here is my version:

I just loved the simplicity of Jessica's card, so I decided to try out my own version using flowers from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

My colour palette is Old Olive & Rich Razzleberry, and I found the perfect sheet of DSP for my card in the retiring Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack.

Since my flowers didn't have as much detail as Jessica's, I decided I needed a little something extra and attached a pretty bow using the Rich Razzleberry Stitched Edge Ribbon.

This card is clean and simple (plus super quick to put together) but is still pretty and seems to work quite well without a sentiment on front, meaning this card could be used for just about any occasion.

Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)

Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team Blog Hop | Theme: Favourite Retiring Bundle

Welcome to the Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team Blog Hop. This month we will be sharing projects created using our Favourite Retiring Bundle. The full line up below will guide you through all the projects.

I always find it hard to choose just one favourite of anything, so I have a few favourite bundles that are retiring soon. I decided to go with the Magical Day Bundle (Magical Day Stamp Set and Magical Mates Framelits) for my card today.

The layout for my card was inspired by this weeks Global Design Project #138 Sketch Challenge.

******

I also wanted to say goodbye to Marina Mist with my card, as sadly it will be retiring at the end of this month as well.

So, my card base uses Marina Mist cardstock and using Marina Mist ink, I stamped the cute bubbles and seahorse images from the Magical Day stamp set.

My sentiment comes from the Colorful Seasons stamp set and is stamped in Bermuda Bay onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

The mermaid was stamped using Memento Black ink and cut out using the co-ordinating framelit. She has then been coloured using Stampin' Blends in Light Bermuda Bay, Light Daffodil Delight and Ivory. For a little extra sparkle, I have added some clear Wink of Stella over her body & tail.

Before adhering my Whisper White layer to my card base, I have added some of the Iridescent Myths & Magic Specialty Washi Tape and a tiny strip of the Bermuda Bay sparkly bubble designer paper (from the Myths & Magic Specialty DSP pack) that was left over from my last project. Waste not, I say.

To finish off the card, my coloured mermaid was adhered using some mini dimensionals.

Thank you so much for joining us today. We hope you'll join us again next month to see our projects created using products from the New Annual Catalogue.

Don't forget to continue the hop all the way around to see what the amazing Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team have come up with.
