I wanted to share a card I made recently using the stunning Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper which was a Sale-A-Bration 2nd Release free item. Were you lucky enough to get your hands on a pack of this gorgeous paper? Or perhaps a couple of packs?
Sadly Sale-A-Bration is now over and this paper is no longer available, however I still wanted to share my card with you.
My colour palette uses Pink Pirouette, Powder Pink, Old Olive and Whisper White, plus the Champagne Foil that is part of the DSP with a small appearance by Daffodil Delight.
I coloured my flowers using the Pink Pirouette, Old Olive & Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.
My card base is Pink Pirouette to match my flowers.
To make sure my sentiment was readable, I went with Powder Pink ink and was able to include a matching Powder Pink Itty Bitty Bow. The sentiment comes from the Colourful Seasons stamp set and is cut out using an oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits.

I too love this SDSP. I'm hoping SU! realizes how much we love this paper. I was wondering what size you cut your SDSP? I have someone I want to make this card for and she loves this paper as well! Thank you so much for sharing with us, I do love your card.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Gloria, so happy you love my card. This is a stunning Specialty DSP and I too hope Stampin' Up! brings it back or includes more like this in the new catalogue.
DeleteBeing in Australia and working in metric, my card base is the standard A6 size (10.5cm x 14.9cm). The DSP strip on my card was a 6" x 3" piece I trimmed the bottom off to fit the length of my card. A standard imperial sized card base is only about 1/8" wider than my card (and about 5/16" shorter). So you could cut your DSP strip to 3-1/8" x 5-1/2" to have the layout the same as mine, however the 1/8" difference in width probably wouldn't be noticeable, so you could just keep it at 3" wide. Hope this answers your question, if not please let me know. Cheers, Kirsten
