Welcome and thank you for joining me in a special Crazy Crafters team blog hop.
We are hopping with a special guest - The very talented Janet Wakeland from the United States.
The theme of this blog hop was to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of Janet's cards.
Here is the card of Janet's that I chose to CASE:
Here is my version:
I liked Janet's layout, so I have taken inspiration from that and used the Petal Palette Bundle for my card.
My roses use the Stained Glass technique, where I have white heat embossed my image on to Vellum and coloured it in from the back. I don't have the 2017-19 In Colour Markers, so I used my ink pads and a blender pen. I have used Berry Burst for my flowers and Tranquil Tide for the leaves.
The banner piece uses Sweet Sugarplum cardstock which has been run through my Big Shot using the Garden Trellis embossing folder. I've punched the bottom using the Triple Banner punch.
If you've followed me for a while or visited before, you may recall that I have referred to myself as a bit of a DSP hoarder (or collector - that sounds much nicer). Well I'm just putting it out there that not only do I have trouble using my pretty papers, I also have a large collection of embellishments, ribbons & washi tape. I set myself a goal this year to use up my extremely large collection of pretty things, so I made sure I used some embellishments on this card. I am excited that I've used 2 different embellishments: 2017-19 In Colour Bitty Bows & Delicate White Doilies :)
My sentiment comes from the Petal Palette stamp set and has been stamped in Berry Burst ink, cut out using the co-ordinating label framelit from the Petals & More thinlits and is adhered to my card front using some dimensionals.
Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)

I have got to remember to use the embossing folder. It adds a great textural touch to the card. Great CASE!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Janet :) And thank you for hopping with us, it was such an honour to hop with a Stampin' Up! legend.
DeleteKirsten, Like WOW girl, Where do I start, I love it!!! Your card is so bright and happy. The work you put into the Stained Glass Technique is awesome, I bet it looks 500% better in real life. I like the Doily used on the card. With these old style Roses they are made to go together.
ReplyDeleteA super card for any occasion, the receiver will smile that's for sure. Well Done xoxo.
Thank you so much Christine :)
