Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Cathy Caines

Welcome and thank you for joining me in a special Crazy Crafters team blog hop.

We are hopping with a special guest - 2018 Artisan Design Team Member Cathy Caines.

The theme of this blog hop was to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of Cathy's cards.

Here is the card of Cathy's that I chose to CASE:

Here is my version:

I love the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper! So gorgeous and you get stunning looking cards and all you have to do is colour it in. Can it be any easier.

To colour the flowers I have used my new set of Stampin' Blends :)

The colours used are: Bermuda Bay (Light), Calypso Coral (Light & Dark), Cherry Cobbler (Light & Dark), Daffodil Delight (Light & Dark), Old Olive (Light & Dark), Pink Pirouette (Light & Dark) and Rich Razzleberry (Light & Dark).

My sentiment comes from the Petal Palette stamp set and is heat embossed.
What! ... heat embossed you say! But it's Bermuda Bay. How?

Well you can heat emboss any colour you like, by inking your stamp with Versamark first, then inking up your favourite colour. Just use clear embossing powder to finish off.

Just because I wanted to add a little sparkle, there is a little silver thread under the stitched shape sentiment circle.

Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)

Ink & Share Blog Hop | Theme: Spring/Easter

Hello and thanks for stopping by :)

Today I am participating in the Ink & Share Blog Hop, where every month a number of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world hop together to share our creations to help inspire you in your paper crafting journey. My name is Kirsten, and I am from Canberra, Australia. "G'Day" :)

For todays hop and we will be sharing our projects inspired by this months theme: Spring/Easter

My Spring themed card layout inspiration comes from this weeks Caseing The Catty challenge #CTC170, where I have CASEd the layout of the Happy Easter card on page 30 of the 2018 Occasions Catalogue.

Here is my card:

My springtime bouquet has been created using the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and co-ordinating Bouquet Bunch Framelits.

To get a little colour variation in my stems and flowers, I have inked up the stamp in one colour and using a sponge dauber, added a little bit of darker ink. Looks pretty cool, huh? My flowers use a combination of Pink Pirouette & Flirty Flamingo inks and the flower stems use a combination of Pear Pizzazz and Garden Green.

A couple of flowers were stamped and die cut. To add a little depth, these have been adhered using some dimensionals.

Did you know you can colour ribbon any colour you like? There are a number of products you can use to colour ribbon, but for this card I have used my Flirty Flamingo ink pad and a sponge dauber. Cool... now you can never say you don't have matching ribbon :)

My Congratulations sentiment received the same ink treatment as my flowers and has been cut out using the Petals & More label framelit and adhered using dimensionals.

Before adhering my flower bouquet to my card front, I have added a strip of Silvery DSP, from the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.

Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)
