Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team Blog Hop | Theme: Favourite Occasions Catalogue Bundle

Welcome to the Ink it! Stamp it! Blog Hop. This month we will be sharing projects inspired by our favourite Occasions Catalogue Bundle. The full line up below will guide you through all the projects and we'd love to hear from you on what your favourite new bundle from the Occasions Catalogue is (that is, if you can only pick one).

I personally can't pick just 1 favourite bundle, so for todays card I have chosen one from my top 3 favourites: the Petal Palette Bundle.

This week has been pretty crazy and I've been struggling with what you could call creative block. So to help me get the creative juices flowing again, I like to check out a few of the challenge blogs I follow and so I have taken inspiration for my card from this weeks Colour Inkspiration #27 Colour Challenge and the Freshly Made Sketches 324 Sketch Challenge

Here is my card:

My card is very much a Clean and Simple card - which are often hard to do as you never know when to stop.

To start, I cut out a circle of Whisper White using the stitched shaped framelits and stamped my sentiment (from Petal Palette) in Island Indigo. I then inked up one the cute flower stamps from the same set in Melon Mambo and stamped around the edge of my circle. I have coloured the flowers using a Blender Pen and my Powder Pink ink pad. I have cut out a scalloped circle in Powder Pink to back my stitched circle.

To tie into the Powder Pink I have used so far, I adhered a piece of pretty Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon to my Island Indigo cardbase with one end of the ribbon hanging over the edge.

Using the pretty lace like die from the Petals & More thinlits, I cut out one in Pool Party and another in Whisper White. These 2 layers were glued together slightly offset, prior to gluing them to my cardbase.

To finish off the card I adhered my sentiment layer using some mini dimensionals.

Once done, I felt it needed a little something else, so I grabbed my clear Wink of Stella and added some subtle sparkle to the Powder Pink areas of the Melon Mambo flowers.

Thank you so much for joining us today. We hope you'll join us again next month to see some 3D projects.
