Welcome and thank you for joining me in a special Crazy Crafters team blog hop.
We are hopping with a special guest - The amazing Allison Okamitsu from Canada.
The theme of this blog hop was to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of Allison's cards.
Here is the card of Allison's that I chose to CASE:
Here is my version:
I just loved Allison's layout, so I chose the lovely flower stamp from the Petal Palette Stamp set (available in the Occasions Catalogue) and using Memento Black Ink, stamped it in the corner of my Very Vanilla cardstock.
To colour my image I have used Alcohol Markers (I used my retired Blendabilities in Melon Mambo & Old Olive), however you could colour the image using what ever colouring method you like.
So as to not cover up too much of the pretty roses, I ended up stamping my sentiment (also from the Petal Palette stamp set) onto a piece of vellum and then cutting it out using the label framelit from the co-ordinating Petals & More thinlits.
I was pretty excited as I used a technique for my sentiment that I've been meaning to try for a long time - any colour heat embossing and it was sooo easy :)
Here's how to do it if you'd like to give it a try: Ink up your stamp with Versamark and then (with the Versamark still on the stamp), ink up your next colour (I chose Melon Mambo) and then stamp on to your cardstock. Apply some clear embossing powder and heat. All done! It is so easy and I think it looks really lovely on Vellum.
To help hide the spots of Tombow used to adhere my vellum piece, I added a couple of Melon Mambo enamel dots. Then just because I felt the card needed a little something extra, I added 2 more to the top of my card.
A simple but pretty card. I hope you like it.
Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)
