I have been asked to create some Christmas cards to be sent overseas. For todays card I have pulled out a few of my retired Christmas sets, including 1 that was inked up for the first time (how did that happen).
My colour palette has been inspired by this weeks Global Design Project #113 Colour Challenge
I think my project also fits in with the Addicted to CAS #124 - Bows Challenge
Here is my card:
I have stamped the wreath from the retired Peaceful Wreath stamp set in memento ink onto some Whisper White cardstock and coloured it using my retired Blendabilities: Medium Cherry Cobbler, Light Old Olive (the closest colour to Pear Pizzazz) and Bronze.
My bow, also from the Peaceful Wreath stamp set is stamped in Crumb Cake on Crumb Cake cardstock. It was then cut out using the retired coordinating Wonderful Wreath framelits, and attached to my card using a mini dimensional.
The sentiment comes from using the "Sending Smiles Across The Miles" stamp from Lift Me Up, masked and stamped in Cherry Cobbler and the remaining words come from the retired Endless Wishes stamp set and are stamped in Pear Pizzazz. This was then cut out using an oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits.
To finish off, I've added a piece of retired Cherry Cobbler ribbon and adhered my oval over the top using more mini dimensionals. My card base is Pool Party.
