Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team Blog Hop | Theme: Celebrate

Welcome to our first Ink it! Stamp it! Blog Hop! This month we will be sharing projects inspired by our Celebrate theme. The full line up below will guide you through all the projects and we'd love to hear from you on what your favourite type of celebration is.

Birthdays are my favourite type of Celebration.

I just love creating cards for my family and friends to help them celebrate their special day. And what better way to show them how much I care, than with a lovingly handmade card.

My nephew had a birthday recently and here is the card I created for his special day.

I have used a combination of the Lift Me Up stamp set and matching Up & Away Thinlits along with the Number of Years stamp set and matching Large Numbers Framelits.

My colour palette consists of Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sky and Whisper White.

The cloudy sky background was created using a die cut cloud from the Up & Away thinlits, a sponge dauber and Soft Sky ink.

The die cut hot air balloon is adhered to my card front using a few dimensionals to help it pop off the card and appear to be floating through the clouds.

Of course I couldn't help myself and needed to decorate the inside of the card with another cute hot air balloon.

Both the sentiments on my card front and the decorated inside, use Bermuda Bay ink.

Thank you so much for joining us today. We hope you'll join us again next month to see our NEW 2017-2018 Catalogue projects. I'm Kirsten Aitchison and to keep hopping around see the list below to see who is up next.
