International Blog Hop - Highlighting Stampin' Up! | Number of Years

Welcome and thank you for joining me in a special International blog hop highlighting just some of the many wonderful products Stampin' Up! have to offer.

At the end of August, I participated, along with a number of other crafters from around the world, in an International Project Highlight organised by Kylie Bertucci.

Anyone and everyone was able to vote for their favourite cards and based on the total votes received, the top 10 winners were announced and I came in 6th - YAY :)

Click here to check out the super cute card I entered, using the adorable Bella & Friends stamp set.

All 10 winners were invited to participate in this special International Product Highlight Blog Hop.

There was no specific theme for this hop, which meant we could create what ever we liked.

......and therein lies a problem, how to decide which product to highlight for this hop....

I recently had a special request to make a card to celebrate a 90th Birthday, and I decided that I would share this card with you all as my Stampin' Up! product highlight for this hop.

Here is what I came up with:

I used a Daffodil Delight & Garden Green colour scheme along with the Number of Years stamp set and matching Large Numbers framelits.

My cardbase uses Daffodil Delight cardstock and the images are stamped on Whisper White, with the numbers stamped separately and then cut using the coordinating framelits.

I contemplated adding some more flowers to the front as I thought it needed a little something else, but decided I like the less is more approach and felt more flowers may make the front a little too busy. So to add that little something extra I ended up adding sparkles to the centre of the flowers using some Dazzling Details.

I decorated the inside of the card by using the same flowers as on the front.

This was a relatively quick and easy card to make and I am really pleased with how it turned out.
I hope the recipient likes it too :)
