Welcome and thanks for visiting :)
Today I am participating in the Stamp 'N Hop blog hop, where every month a number of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the globe will be sharing projects to help inspire you in your paper crafting journey.
My name is Kirsten, and I am from Canberra, Australia. And as we Aussies like to say "G'Day" and thanks for popping by :)
This month we will be sharing projects inspired by our theme: Sale-A-Bration 2nd Release
I was super excited by the new Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper available free with a $90 purchase. I like this paper so much I now have a couple of packs :)
My card layouts were inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #327 Challenge.
I ended up making 2 cards so I could use both pieces of the gorgeous foil dot specialty DSP after I cut it to match the sketch.
Here is what I came up with:
I fussy cut out 2 flowers and their leaves from the floral sheet of this specialty DSP. Both flowers were coloured using alcohol markers. As I have only just ordered a set of the new Stampin' Blends, I used my set of retired Blendabilities in Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight for the flowers and Old Olive for the leaves. Both flowers are adhered to my cards using mini dimensionals.
Do you ever find you don't have matching ribbon?
I didn't have any current Melon Mambo or Daffodil Delight ribbon, so I used my Whisper White Sheer Ribbon and coloured it with my alcohol markers. How cool is that, you can't even tell it used to be white.
My sentiment comes from the Petal Palette stamp set and has been stamped in Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight.
I felt my Melon Mambo card needed a little something extra as the sentiment was surrounded by a lot of white, so I added a couple of Melon Mambo enamel dots.
Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)
