Welcome to the Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team Blog Hop. This month we will be sharing projects inspired by our theme: 3D projects. The full line up below will guide you through all the projects.
I knew I wanted to make a box with a flower on top for my 3D project, awesome... Step 1... tick.
Next step was to decide on the type and shape of the box, so I though OK great, I'll make a hexagon box using the Window Box thinlits. Step 2... tick.
Then came the decision on the flowers, and after much deliberation I decided on using the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set and co-ordinating Blossom Builder punch. Step 3... tick
Last decision was my colour scheme, and for the life of me I couldn't decide on what colours I should use - there were just too many options. Step 4... ???
When this sort of thing happens, I like to check out some creative challenges for a little inspiration. Given I was having trouble deciding on a colour palette, I went looking for colour challenges and found this weeks Global Design Project #129 Colour Challenge which I decided was perfect for my project. I hope you agree :)
Here is my project:
I am currently in the process of putting together a PDF tutorial showing how I created this project.
I'll be sharing this tutorial for FREE with my Stampin' Up! Customers and Stampin' Up! Newsletter Subscribers, so if you are interested in getting your hands on this free tutorial make sure you sign up to my newsletter by clicking here before the end of March 2018 :)
